Howard Kennedy's band, Take It To The Bridge, is one of our worst kept secrets.

It was formed in 2011 to allow some of our talented members of staff to get involved in Law Rocks events (A charitable organisation that hosts "battle of the band" events between lawyers) at a time when the organisation itself was in its infancy.

We have continued to support Law Rocks over the years and in 2019 our band was one of only a few invited to perform at the organisation's 10 year birthday bash at London's Scala, celebrating global fundraising of over $3m.

The band performs at Law Rocks and independent events in the UK several times a year. These gigs, particularly those at the spiritual home of Law Rocks at the 100 Club on Oxford Street, are highlights of the year for Howard Kennedy employees, partners and our clients and contacts.

The band has also been lucky enough to be invited, every year since 2014, to perform with the Law Rocks events at the International Bar Association's annual conference. Thanks to this opportunity they have performed in Australia, Asia, Europe and North America in the past 5 years.

The band has had many faces over the years, having lost a few members to other pursuits (babies, relocations and seats at the bench), but the current line-up is here to stay. Can you blame them?

Nick Mendoza

Instrument: Drums

Fave back catalogue song: The Number of the Beast (Iron Maiden)

Nick has played the drums for the band since it was established.

When he's not keeping the rest of the band in time and warming up the crowd, Nick is a Senior Associate in the Administration of Estates team, acting on complex international matters.

Instrument: Guitar and backing vocals

Fave back catalogue song: Times Like These (Foo Fighters)

Tom was headhunted into the band in 2017 after we learned of his varied talents and boundless on-stage energy.

When he is not singing falsetto harmonies while jumping up and down on the spot, Tom is a Paralegal in our Commercial Development team, acting on the sale of high-value residential units for our developer clients. (He also plays in a real professional band, but don't tell anyone.)

Jazmin Brown

Instrument: Keys

Fave back catalogue song: Edge of Seventeen (Stevie Nicks) x Bootylicious (Destiny's Child)

Jazmin is the newest member of the band, having started playing keys for the 10 year anniversary performance in June 2019.

When she's not adding twinkly riffs, Jazmin is a Solicitor in the Family team, acting for high net worth individuals in relation primarily to their complex children matters.
